Brenna M. Brandstrom Dearinger, 26, of Walhalla, ND and formerly of Grand Forks, ND died Wednesday, May 15, 2013 as the result of a car accident.
Brenna Brandstrom was born April 11, 1987 at the Hill Air Force Base, Utah, the daughter of Lyle and Tamy (Johnson) Brandstrom. Brenna grew up in Grand Forks and graduated from Central High School in 2005. She then attended the Northland Community College in East Grand Forks, MN and graduated with a degree in mechanics. Brenna worked for Walmart, Valley Dairy and LM Glassfiber before working for Headstart in Pembina County.

John Norman McDonald Jr.
John Norman McDonald Jr., better known as “Big John,” was born January 8, 1920, at Ponce de Leon, Florida, to John Norman and Francis (Hadden) McDonald. He was the oldest of four boys, followed by Wilford (Shorty), Robert, Stewart, and sister, Mary McDonald.
Big John attended college and played football for Georgia Military College and Arkansas Teachers College. After his college days, he enjoyed being a motorcycle cop. He served our country in the Army in WWII in the African/European Theater. Before his tour of duty in the service, he traveled to Seattle, WA where he met Inga Austfjord, an Icelander from North Dakota. They were married on August 13, 1946 following his discharge from the Army.

Patrol identifies victim of fatal accident near Walhalla, N.D.
Authorities have identified a Walhalla, N.D., woman who was killed in a one-vehicle rollover accident Wednesday near Walhalla. Brenna Dearinger, 26, was driving a 1999 Chevrolet pickup on Pembina County Road 1 at about 8:45 a.m. Wednesday when the accident occurred about four miles southeast of Walhalla.
