Lloyd Thorsgard, 78, of Northwood, ND passed away Friday, December 7, 2012 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 10:30am at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Northwood. Burial will be at the South Cemetery.

Lloyd Philip Thorsgard was born May 12, 1934, to Knut and Anna (Flisrand) Thorsgard. He was the fifth of six children who were born at the farm home in the Northwood, ND area. He attended rural school through grade 8 and graduated from Northwood High School and the University of Minnesota, St. Paul campus. He was baptized and confirmed at Ebenezer Free Lutheran Church.

Dale Uhrich
Dale Uhrich, 56, of Langdon, ND and formerly of Wales, ND, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at the Cavalier County Memorial Hospital of Langdon, ND.

Dale, along with his twin brother Daryl, were born to Gibson Stephen and Rita Marie (Hiltner) Uhrich on August 8, 1956, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Langdon, ND. Dale grew up in Wales, ND where he attended elementary school. He went on to graduate from Langdon High School. During his senior year, Dale took part in a co-op program which enabled him to adjust his school schedule and work at Cavalier Rural Electric in the afternoons. After graduation, Dale worked for area farmers. On November 15, 1974, he began his lifelong career with Cavalier Rural Electric. After completing a few correspondence courses from the NDSCS in Wahpeton, he applied and passed the Class B State Electrical Examination. He went on to achieve his Journeyman’s license and his Master’s.
