North Dakota legislative leaders voted today to hire an attorney to represent the legislative branch’s interests in a case before the North Dakota Supreme Court regarding UND’s Fighting Sioux nickname. The vote by the Legislative Management Committee was 12-5, with one Democrat joining the committee’s 11 Republicans. All five no votes were cast by Democrats.
