Two dead in Williston camper fire
Two people are dead after a camper caught fire early this morning in rural Williston. Williams County Sheriff Scott Busching said investigators are working to identify the victims. The bodies are being sent to Bismarck for autopsies, Busching said.

On March 23, 2013, Dan Fredericksen slipped away without pain and crossed over to a place where the October skies are always bluebird blue, the game is always plentiful and the hunting dogs always behave. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 28, at Bismarck Funeral Home, followed immediately by a Celebration of Life "Wake" at Sidelines Sports Bar.
Daniel Bruce Fredericksen was born in Williston, ND, on Aug. 5, 1948, to Earl and Lillian Fredericksen. He fell in love with the great outdoors at an early age, while on pheasant hunts with his father and older brothers, and camping trips with the Boy Scouts. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in high school. He was introduced to the joys of fishing while on family trips to Lac La Ronge, Sask. In later years he loved to fish for walleye at Lake Sakakawea and Lake Oahe.

Mildred "Susie" Conerton
Mildred “Susie” Conerton, age 88 of Grand Forks, formerly of St. Thomas, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Valley Memorial Homes, Woodside Village, Grand Forks, ND.
Mildred Christine Hedstrom was born May 22, 1924 in Aneta, ND, the daughter of the late Fred and Louise (Moderow) Hedstrom. She grew up and was educated in Aneta, ND, graduating from high school in 1942. She was united in marriage to Walter Smallbeck on July 3, 1942. They began their life together on the family farm before moving to Aneta. She worked a variety of jobs while raising her family including the operation of the local café for many years. On May 28, 1965, she was united in marriage to Arthur Conerton in Grand Forks, ND. The couple traveled the country extensively with Art’s work in bridge construction, living in many states before settling in St. Thomas, ND. She worked with Art as custodians of the local school and for a number of years operated the St. Thomas Café before their retirement. Art died June 24, 1996. On July 22, 2009, she moved to the Woodside Village, Hearthstone in Grand Forks.

Howard Blehm, 92, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Neilson Place in Bemidji MN.
Funeral services will be held 11:00a.m., Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Bethel Lutheran Church, Bemidji. Visitation will be 4:00-6:00p.m., Wednesday, March 20 at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
