Animal-welfare officials have removed 55 unhealthy horses, ponies and donkeys from a property in southeastern Minnesota. The Animal Humane Society said Friday the animals were suffering from untreated wounds, severe malnutrition and other health issues.

After we got home from work on the Thursday before Veterans Day, we leaned ladders to the sides of our house and dug matted leaves out of the eaves.
