Six days ago, the UND men’s hockey team took the ice in the early morning for a hard skate after a loss to Bemidji State. Later in the day, the team found out they didn’t receive any votes in the USCHO poll for the first time since 2002. Obviously, the Sioux had no intentions of making a habit out of these things this season.

The UND men’s hockey team got to hear about how it can’t score goals all week long. Then, the Sioux went out Friday night and showed that it has potential to keep pace with anyone. In a wild, back-and-forth, wide-open shootout, the Sioux were able to pop the last goal and beat No. 4 Colorado College 7-6 in front of 11,375 in Ralph Engelstad Arena.
