With a work area that covers about 3,000 square miles and includes Grand Forks County and parts of Traill, Steele, Griggs, Walsh and Nelson counties, N.D. Game and Fish Department game warden Gary Rankin will log a lot of cab time in his unmarked pickup by the time deer season ends Nov. 20. Friday marked his 35th deer opener.
