Ralph J. DeMaine, 89, of Grand Forks, ND and formerly of Pembina, ND passed away Friday, January 18, 2013, at Valley Eldercare, in Grand Forks. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the Assumption Catholic Church, Pembina, ND. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 22nd from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a 6:00 p.m. rosary service at the Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier. Burial will be held in the Pembina Cemetery.

Ralph was born December 22, 1923, near Pembina to Joseph and Elizabeth (Fritz) DeMaine. He grew up in the Pembina area where he attended school. After serving in the Civilian Conservation Corps, he returned to the Pembina area where he farmed. He also worked at Motor Coach Industries in Pembina and the Joliette Elevator and Cenex Fertilizer in Joliette.
