Valentine Mary Pelletier
Valentine Mary Pelletier, 91, of Pembina, ND passed away on Feb 20, 2013 at home with family in Fargo, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church, Pembina, ND. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service & rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Burial at Joliette Cemetery, Joliette, ND.

Valentine was born on August 14, 1921 in Joliette, ND to Gaston & Helen (Depreitere) Corneillie. On August 23, 1941, she married Henry “Hank” Pelletier. They lived on a farm by Joliette, ND. They had eleven children. Hank passed away on September 28, 1986. Valentine lived in Pembina for the past 26 years. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, Pembina, ND. She will be remembered for her baking of buns for church & community events and especially her caramel rolls. She also made quilts, blankets and rugs.

VIDEO: Two dead in fatal crash on I-94 near Barnesville, Minn., as blowing snow wreaks havoc in ND, Minnesota
The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a four-vehicle accident on Interstate 94 near here that has killed at least two people. Sgt. Jesse Grabow said the accident took place around 11:30 a.m. and that both westbound I-94 lanes are closed as accident cleanup continues.
