North Dakota bill adds minimum penalties for underage drinking
Lawmakers hope to deter a culture in the state that some believe perpetuates drinking — especially underage drinking — in North Dakota. They hope to do so with House Bill 1458, which would create minimum mandatory penalties for individuals who supply alcohol to a minor, and minors who use fake identifications.

Allen F. Stahl, 76, of Grand Forks, ND, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at his home.
Allen Francis Stahl was born August 30, 1936 to Francis and Alice (Stenslie) Stahl in rural Nelson County. He grew up on the family farm and attended school in Pekin, ND, graduating from high school there in 1954. He continued his education at Jamestown College. In 1959 he began his career at Border States Electric in Grand Forks, ND, as a buyer and later as a salesman, until his retirement in 1998.
