Our loving brother and companion, Gary S. Sweeney, 61, Arvilla, ND died Sunday May 5, 2013 in Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND.
Gary Stephen Sweeney was born on December 20, 1951 the son William and Mary (Lund) Sweeney in Grand Forks, ND. He attended school in Arvilla, graduating in 1969 from Larimore, ND High School. Gary worked seasonal at Crystal Sugar, East Grand Forks, MN until he injured himself while working at home. Gary's passion was in auto body repair which he did in Arvilla, Grand Forks and Fargo.

PREP SPORTS: Class B tournament format faces changes as number of teams decline
The current format in volleyball, boys basketball and girls basketball throughout the state has each of the 16 districts advancing four teams from a district to a regional tournament. That format is in jeopardy because of the declining number of teams throughout the state.
