Bonnie was born May 31, 1920 in rural Pennington County, Northern Minnesota to Hattie (Geyer) (Stucy) and Martin Jeppson. She spent most of her youth living on the family farm before her parents moved to Bismarck, ND. She graduated from St. Mary’s high school in Bismarck in 1938.
In 1940, she was married to Clarence Hesse who preceded her in death in 1955. She had 3 children with him. In 1963, she was remarried to Melvin (Mel) Christopherson of Thief River Falls. Mel was engaged in farming near Thief River Falls and also employed by Minnkota Power in Grand Forks for 40 years.

Duane Sondeland, 79 of Fargo, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 6, 2013 surrounded by his loving family, at Eventide Care Center in Moorhead, after fighting a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Wayne L. Johnson, 67, of Sharon, ND passed away on May 4, 2013 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND surrounded by his loving family after a courageous eight month battle with ALS. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 8th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Beaver Creek Lutheran Church, rural Hatton, ND. A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 7th, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 pm prayer service at the Bilden Funeral Home in Northwood.
Wayne was born August 19, 1945 at Northwood, ND to Norris and Clara (Beck) Johnson. He attended country school and then went to high school at Northwood Public School, graduating from there in 1963. After graduation, he farmed on the family farm. He was drafted by the U.S. Army in 1969. He was in the army for two years and was stationed in Aschaffenburg, Germany for one of those years. Following the military, Wayne returned home and continued his passion of farming and ranching with his family. The farm was very important to him where he tended to dairy cows, stock cows, farming, mechanic work/fixing, welding and Vermeer Baler Sales. He married Mary Sondreal on November 24, 1972 at Crookston, MN.

Rodolfo “Rudy” / “Popo” Rivera Sr., 56 of Grand Forks, ND died Friday, May 3, 2013 at his home. Rudy Rivera was born July 1, 1956 in Moorhead, MN the son of Celestino and Estella (Alonzo) Rivera. He grew up and graduated from Crystal City Texas High School. He married Graciela Lopez on June 10, 1975 in Cavalier, ND. They worked as migrant workers in the upper Red River Valley for a number of years. In 1987 they moved to East Grand Forks where he attended the EGF AVTI in mechanics. He worked for EGF School District, the Farmers Finest Bean Company from 2002 – 2007 and from 2007 until present for the EERC in Grand Forks.
He is survived by his wife Graciela of Grand Forks, children, Rick (Amy) Rivera of Shakopee, MN, Rudy Jr. (Kristen) Rivera of Bismarck, ND, Rolando (Kaylie) Rivera of Grand Forks, Rianna (Josh) Flores, of Grand Forks and Sylvia Linkous of Georgetown, Ohio, grandchildren, Danielle, Taylor, Kolby, Xavier, Riley, Nevaeh, Ebonye, and Dallas, siblings, Olga (Alex) Avalos, of Perrysburg, Ohio, Celestina Rivera of Crystal City, TX, Magdalena (Silvestre) Rivera of Brownwood, TX, Jorge Rivera of Crystal City, TX and his mother Estella Rivera of Crystal City, TX. Timothy R. Osowski, age 53 of Grafton, ND passed away on Friday, May 3, 2013 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton, ND under the care of Hospice.
Timothy R. Osowski was born January 11, 1960 in Grafton, ND the son of Hilary and Jeanette (Dolan) Osowski. He attended school in Grafton, graduating from Grafton High School in 1978. Tim did his journeyman electrical studies under John Rasmussen and passed his Masters Electrician test. He started TKO Electrical in Grafton, ND and operated the business until Huntington’s Disease forced him to retire. Tim was united in marriage to Kerri Kennedy on May 28, 1982 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Grafton. The couple made their home in Grafton. As his illness progressed, Tim lived in Hallock, MN and most recently in McIntosh, MN. Tim’s passion after his diagnosis was to find a cure for this disease. With that in mind, he donated his brain for Huntington’s research in hope for a cure.
