Ethelyn Mae Bartuli, 97, Grand Forks, went to meet her heavenly Father, Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Altru Hospital.

Ethelyn was born to Peter and Elsie (Styrlund) Voiss on October 9, 1915 in Grand Forks, ND. She attended school in Grand Forks and graduated from Grand Forks Central in 1933. Ethelyn married Henry (Hank) Bartuli August 23, 1939. They resided in Fargo, Chicago, Grand Forks and Crookston. Henry passed away in January of 1994. Ethelyn returned to Grand Forks, after residing in Crookston for almost 40 years.

Reta "Louise" Scott
Reta "Louise" Scott, 72, of Pembina, North Dakota passed away Tuesday morning, April 2, 2013 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Reta Louise Finney was born March 2, 1941 at St. Vincent, Minnesota to Ward and Ruby (Turner) Finney. She attended school in Humboldt, Minnesota, graduating in 1959. On December 8, 1963 she married Robert Scott, a U.S. Border Patrol agent, at the North Star Church, rural St. Vincent. Louise was employed at Northwestern State Bank in Hallock, Minnesota, KCND TV and manager of the Gift Shop at Exports Inc. in Pembina. She was an individual of deep faith and a longtime member of Pembina United Methodist Church. Her favorite pastime was playing piano, a talent she cultivated at a young age in the North Star Church playing for Sunday services. Louise also enjoyed listening to and performing music. In the 1960's she was a member of a rock and roll band called the "Charms". In April of 2007 she was part of that group to be inducted into the Minnesota Rock and Country Hall of Fame. She enjoyed visiting casinos, going to concerts and debating about current events and politics. Louise also sponsored children through Compassion International. Her quick sense of humor was appreciated by many people. Even through her many years of illness, she retained the ability to lift other peoples' spirits when they would visit her.

Family members include two sisters, Lucille Chale, Pembina and Ethel (Tom) Kinsella, Reuter, MO; two brothers, Douglas (Sharryn) Finney, Pembina and Keith (Sandy) Finney, Mayville, ND; special friend, Warren Hauert; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, who passed away on August 6, 1997; parents; half sisters, Dorothy Huso and Kathryn Gibson and half-brother, Max Finney.

Richard Peter Bernardy was born 3-12-1941, the son of Hilary and Alice (Wengeler) Bernardy in Munich, ND. He attended school at Munich High School and Aaker's Business College.

Richard was united in marriage to Geraldine Klein, November 4, 1961. He was the owner of Bernardy Insurance and Real Estate. Richard was a member of the Larimore Fire Department for 48 years, chief '76-'78, member of St. Stephen's Church, Secretary Treasurer of Larimore Golf Club and Larimore School District for many years.

Michael John Stauss, 63, of Grand Forks, ND passed away surrounded by his loved ones at Altru Hospital on March 30th 2013 from a Heart Attack.

Michael was born December 1st 1949 in Grand Forks, the son of Donna (Perrault) and Walter Stauss. He grew up in East Grand Forks, MN graduating from East Grand Forks Senior High in 1967. He built his 39 year career at American Crystal Sugar where he was awarded the President’s Award in recognition of Commitment to Excellence. Michael was a proud member of the Bakery Confectionary Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union Local 264. He retired in August of 2012 and most recently employed by Corbett Trucking.

Fern M. Peterson Fedje, 86, of Cavalier, ND passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 31, 2013, at the Lutheran Sunset Home, Grafton, ND. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 4, 2013, at 9:30 a.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 3rd from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, with an Eastern Star service at 6:45 p.m. There will be a one hour visitation at the church before the time of services. Burial will be held in the Cavalier Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Grafton Altru Hospice and Pembina County Relay for Life.

Fern was born January 15, 1927, to Roy and Helen (Hudson) Cull in Hamilton Township. She attended the Cull School District #48 and graduated from Hamilton High School in 1944. After attending Mayville State Teachers College she taught school for four years.
