Joshua Taylor Berggren, 23, formerly of East Grand Forks, MN, died May 18, 2013 at his Moorhead, MN home.

Josh was born April 10, 1990 in Grand Forks, ND to Jerry and Sandy Berggren. He grew up in East Grand Forks, MN and graduated from East Grand Forks Senior High in 2008. While in high school he participated in tennis, track, pop singers, theatre, was a member of the Speech Team and National Forensics League. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America, earning the rank of ‘Eagle Scout’ in 2008. He attended Minnesota State University-Moorhead majoring in Mass Communication with an emphasis in Photo Journalism. In the fall of 2008, while attending college, he joined the Army National Guard, completing his basic training and Advanced Individual Training (A.I.T.) at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Thereafter he proudly served with the Cavalry Scouts unit based out of Fergus Falls, MN. Josh graduated with honors from MSUM on May 17, 2013.
