Victor P. Rogalla
Victor P. Rogalla, age 76 of Voss, ND passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the First Care Health Center of Park River.

Victor Paul Rogalla was born February 3, 1937 in Pulaski Township, the son of the late Peter and Helen (Phzepiora) Rogalla. He graduated from Minto High School. Victor served in the United States Air Force from 1957-1961. He married Marcella Held and the couple lived in Rugby, ND where he worked for McGuire Brothers as a mechanic. They later moved to Arizona and he worked for Marble Era. The couple returned to Voss and she later passed away. He married Sharol Zander on November 20, 1967 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Fargo. The couple made their home in Voss where he worked for Tibert Farms. He later worked for the Farmer’s Union in Minto, Art Wosick Farms, John Schanilec and Roderic Schanilec until his retirement.

Harris Trosen
Harris Trosen, 74, of Fordville ND passed away suddenly Thursday, May 16, 2013 at his cabin on Maple Lake near Mentor Minnesota.

Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Harris was born on August 19th, 1938 at Inkster ND to Kossuth and Mary (Burris) Trosen. Raised to manhood in the Inkster Area, Harris attended Akers Business College after graduation and spent a long career with the Bremer Bank System as the Manager of the Fordville Location. Harris married his soul mate Mary Vernes on November 11th, 1958 and spent the next 55 years of his life dedicated to his wife and four children.

Gary S. Sweeney
Our loving brother and companion, Gary S. Sweeney, 61, Arvilla, ND died Sunday May 5, 2013 in Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND.

Gary Stephen Sweeney was born on December 20, 1951 the son William and Mary (Lund) Sweeney in Grand Forks, ND. He attended school in Arvilla, graduating in 1969 from Larimore, ND High School. Gary worked seasonal at Crystal Sugar, East Grand Forks, MN until he injured himself while working at home. Gary's passion was in auto body repair which he did in Arvilla, Grand Forks and Fargo.

The current format in volleyball, boys basketball and girls basketball throughout the state has each of the 16 districts advancing four teams from a district to a regional tournament. That format is in jeopardy because of the declining number of teams throughout the state.
