Charles Allen Bergland
Charles Allen Bergland, 69, of Perham, MN, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, June 16, 2013.
Charlie was born March 30, 1944 in Hawley, Minnesota to Elmer and Clara (Kleiv) Bergland. The family moved to East Grand Forks in 1955. He graduated from East Grand Forks Central High School in 1962. He was a plumber by trade but a jack of all trades. He worked at Economy Plumbing for 24 years. Then he owned the Lightning Bar in Alvarado, MN, as well as Bergland Plumbing with his brother Wally and later went solo as “Just Call Charlie” in Perham, MN where he built a loyal customer base.

Bonnie Jean Coss, 86, Grand Forks, ND died Sunday, June 9, 2013 in Valley Memorial Home Eldercare, Grand Forks.
Bonnie Jean Westacott was born January 25, 1927 in St. Michael’s Hospital, 813 Lewis Blvd, Grand Forks to Basil and Mildred (Beaton) Westacott. She was raised 5 miles north of grand Forks and attended Falconer District #11 grade school. They moved to Thief River Falls, MN in 1939 and Bonnie graduated from Lincoln High School in 1944. She attended Aaker’s Business College in Grand Forks and Northern Pacific Railroad School in Jamestown, ND. Bonnie worked at Midwest Motors, The North Dakota Division of the U. S. Treasury in Jamestown, The Registrar’s office of the University of North Dakota and the Uptown Café.

Lawrence E. Levin, 78, Pillsbury, ND died Saturday, June 1, 2013 in the Veterans Hospital in Fargo, ND.
Lawrence Edward Levin was born on Sept 2, 1934 in Pillsbury, North Dakota to Edward and Selma Levin. Raised on the family farm, he attended Pillsbury School. Lawrence served in the US Navy from 1952-1956. Upon his return, he spent his life farming small grains, haying, raising cattle, and children on that same farm.
