Colin (Cookie) Engh of Jamestown, ND died January 16, 2013 at Eventide Hi-Acres Nursing Home in Jamestown, ND.

Colin was born March 21, 1922 in Agnes Township, Grand Forks County, ND to Miller and Alma (Pedersen) Engh. Colin graduated from Orr High School in 1940 and worked on the family farm. He later became a long-time resident of Jamestown. Colin loved music and especially loved playing his accordions.

Mary Cay Weber, 54, of Northwood, ND, loving sister, aunt, and great-aunt, passed away Tuesday, June 04, 2013 at Northwood Deaconess Health Center in Northwood after a brief illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 7, 2013 at 11:00am at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Larimore, ND. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00pm with a 7:00pm rosary service at the Bilden Funeral Home in Northwood.

Mary Cay was born March 6th, 1959, in Northwood to Robert and Delores (Thompson) Weber of Larimore. She graduated from Larimore High School and moved to Fargo, where she lived and worked for several years. She then moved home and was a loving caregiver to her mom.

Keith J. Welte
Keith Joseph Welte, age 84, passed away on May 30, 2013 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.

Keith Welte was born on September 17, 1928 in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Herbert D. and Aletha (Boulden) Welte. The family moved to New Britain, CT in 1929. Keith graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 1946 and attended Central Connecticut College. In 1948 he moved to Moraine Township in Grand Forks County, where he farmed and resided for the rest of his life. At the time of his death Keith was the oldest farmer in Moraine Township. He married Helen Landman of Larimore in Crookston on May 1, 1952. Over the years Keith served on many local boards. He loved to spend time with family and friends, play cards, and read. In his later years, he enjoyed socializing at the casino. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. Keith will always be remembered for his love of children, dogs, and cats.

Merle L. Richard
Merle L. Richard, age 85, of Larimore, ND passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Valley Eldercare in Grand Forks, ND

Merle Laverne Weber was born on November 27,1927 in Larimore the daughter of Henry and Clara (Olson) Weber. Merle grew up in the Larimore area and attended Larimore High School where she graduated in 1947. She went on to work as a telephone operator in Minneapolis, MN. Merle was united in marriage to Virgil Richard on November 15, 1951. She was a home maker for several years and then she began to work at the Larimore Good Samaritan Center as a cook. Merle belonged to St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Larimore where she was an active member and the altar society. She loved to travel as she and Virgil spent 19 winters in Florida. Merle loved to play cards and was a member of a local bridge club. She was a wonderful cook which was one of her passions.
