Tyrone Grandstrand, Grand Forks, column: Planning can ease GF’s housing shortage

By finding a good place for students, we remove the burden from the rest of the community. Our schools, our neighborhoods and our residents are able to benefit from our growth — but only with proper planning.

Grandstrand touts endorsements
Tyrone Grandstrand’s running for Grand Forks City Council, and he’s got a ton of backup. There’s state Sen. Mac Schneider, D-Grand Forks. There’s Mayor Mike Brown. And there’s Miss Eastern North Dakota Emily Burkland. Those kinds of endorsements are rare in council races and certainly so when there’s yet no challenger.
