I mean, really: The CEO gets $2 million a year! I’m sure the board could find a very capable and competent boss for much less, perhaps $300,000 a year.

Because of the economic stimulus package from the Obama administration, a perfect opportunity to build these needed projects has been put on the table. The amendment to eliminate the unlimited mill levy method makes no sense. It was not recommended by the commission. It only applies to three school districts, where — in each case — voters have approved it. It tries to solve a problem where no problem exists. It may even hurt the quality of K-12 education in our district.
