TECH ADIVCE: Download needed to get the picture
Q: I've been downloading pictures to my laptop for a couple of years from a Canon point-and-shoot camera and a Nikon DSLR (digital single-lens reflex) camera. But the last time I tried to download pictures from either camera via cable, I got a message that the computer couldn't detect the attached camera. I reinstalled the cameras' software to no avail and made sure I'm using the right camera cables. What am I missing?

Use great old picture frames for many different decorating ideas
At Lucken's Collectibles we have seen many beautiful old antique picture frames with great old family pictures in them. We also find just the frames, with no glass, no picture and most certainly some unheard story of its journey. They sometimes are falling apart and look more like firewood than anything else.

MOVIE COMMENTARY: 20 years of worst best-picture nominees
When the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that it was doubling its annual list of Best Motion Picture nominees from five to 10, I was convinced the expanded list would include that moronic comedy “The Hangover.” Then, I would have a field day trashing the Oscars.
