Phi Delta Theta, UND’s oldest fraternal order, is under investigation by its parent organization and the university after a drug bust led to the arrest of two members and citations for six other members. The university considers it an anomaly, but the police chief said drug use is on the rise on campus as it is at campuses around the nation.

Haunted history at Gustafson Hall
Every old building has its creaks and groans. One of the oldest buildings on the UND campus may have something else — ghosts. Gustafson Hall, built in 1908, served as the university’s first fraternity house, accommodating the Varsity Bachelors’ Club and later Phi Delta Theta.

A tip from a postal clerk led to the sting operation
According to an affidavit, a money order paid with cash that smelled like marijuana prompted police to send in an informant. The informant bought $405's worth of marijuana. A raid a few weeks later led to seizure of items such as digital scales, marijuana grinders and a record of who owes how much money.
