Marie Olson, 83, passed away while holding her daughter's hand and surrounded by family and friends on February 28, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Center in Larimore, ND.

Marie Margaret Kearns Olson was born on a farm near Honeyford, ND, on May 19, 1929, to Michael Patrick Kearns and Marie Anne Renne' Moritz Kearns. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Fargo in 1947. She married Orlando Kenneth Olson on April 1, 1950, and lived and farmed near Arvilla their entire lives. They had 4 children: Kenneth , Larry, Steven, and Julie.

Ione Mary (Olson) DeSautel, age 85 of Grafton, ND passed away on Sunday, February 03, 2013 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton.

Ione was born March 16, 1927, the youngest child of seven to Carl and Emma (Wisted) Olson at Williams, MN. Ione graduated from Williams High School and then moved to Bismarck, ND to live with her sister, Violet Larson. She met the love of her life, Wally DeSautel, when they both worked at the National Tea Co. Grocery Store. They married on June 6, 1949 at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Bismarck. In 1952 they moved to Grafton to own and operate Wally’s Fairway. They had six children, Debby, Tim, Mike, Becky, Guy and Kent.
