According to the obituary submitted to Amundson Funeral Home by the family of Sean Dacus, a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Amundsons’, 2975 S. 42nd St., with visitation beginning one hour before the service.

Sean Alexander Dacus, 31, wrote on his arm that he wanted his organs donated
According to a police source, he wrote on his arm “Donate organs please” shortly before fatally shooting himself outside the emergency room at Altru Health System in Grand Forks. Dacus served two tours of duty in Iraq and one in Afghanistan.

Police identify man who fatally shot himself outside Altru emergency room
The Grand Forks man who fatally shot himself outside Altru Health System late Tuesday morning has been identified. Grand Forks Police say Sean Alexander Dacus, 31, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest. The bullet did not pass through his body. Grand Forks Police Lt. Grant Schiller said an autopsy is under way.
