PGA CHAMPIONSHIP COMMENTARY: Weekley is not like the others
TULSA, Okla. You would think Boo Weekley would have known, or should have known. You would think that any golfer in this 89th PGA Championship at Southern Hills would have known that Tiger Woods' 63 on Friday tied the major-tournament scoring record. But Boo is different. Delightfully different. Asked if he knew what it would have meant had he made his 40-foot birdie putt on the 18th green for a 63 Saturday, he shrugged.

PRO GOLF Wilson, Weekley pace Honda PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - Mark Wilson has been to the PGA Tour's qualifying school 10 straight years, and has gotten so used to the drill that he just assumes it'll be part of his schedule. And Boo Weekley is probably best known for wearing camouflage pants and tennis shoes earlier in his career.

Retired Polk County judge drowns
A retired Polk County judge drowned this week while on vacation in Panama, his daughter, Jill Burggraf, said Monday. John M. Roue, 68, Crookston, died Sunday afternoon, she said. Roue was vacationing with his wife, Mary, at a friend’s villa. Burggraf said her father and stepmother were swimming when they were caught in an undertow. “She was able to escape it and Dad wasn’t.
