Police are investigating a report of an armed robbery of the till at the Select Inn on Gateway Drive in Grand Forks. Police were dispatched to the hotel, 4001 Gateway Drive, at 11:48 p.m. Wednesday. A masked man brandishing two handguns reportedly forced the front desk clerk to hand over a few hundred dollars.

A family-owned potato processing plant in Minto, N.D., was completely destroyed by fire Sunday afternoon. The blaze initially produced a lot of smoke, and became unmanageable after firefighters arrived, according to David Gerzewski, chief of the Minto Volunteer Fire Department.
