Dorothy “Corky” Fore age 83 of East Grand Forks, MN passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.Dorothy Mae Fore was born on March 13, 1930 in Grand Forks, ND the daughter of Olaf and Rena (Nygaard) Amundson. Dorothy grew up and attended Central High School in Grand Forks. In 1950 she married Donald Fore. In 1964 she returned to Grand Forks where she worked for Colburn School Supply, Sylvania Electronics; she then began employment with the University of North Dakota working at the Bookstore, Project Lignite, and the Chemical Engineering Department. She enjoyed weekend afternoon bingo, trips to the lake and going to the casino.

Dorothy is survived by her two daughters: Dawn Fore and Diane Fore and two grandchildren, Cole and Taylor, all of East Grand Forks and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Margaret Stauning, Lillian Hemenover, Maybelle Busby, Gladys Rosenberg, and Helen Schmuckel; brothers: Donald, Roy, and Art Amundson; and special friends: Howard Olson and Hank Gard.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Circle of Friends Humane Society.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 23, 2013 in Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Ave. NW, East Grand Forks, MN
Visitation: One hour prior Funeral Service in Dahl Funeral Home on Saturday.
Interment: Memorial Park South Cemetery ~ Grand Forks, ND in the spring
