Stanley M. Septon

Stanley M. Septon, 59 of Grand Forks, ND died Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks.

Funeral Services on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake.

Stanley was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 8, 1953, the son of Norman and Catherine (Bodine) Septon. The family lived for a time in Nevada, moving to the state of Washington in 1962. In 1971, Stanley and his father moved to Devils Lake and made this home for many years. Stanley lived and worked in Devils Lake until 2002, when increasing health needs led to a move to Grand Forks where he worked as a volunteer at Altru Hospital.

Stanley had a passion for sports. He loved the UND Fighting Sioux, hockey, soccer and basketball to name a few. He was a well known fan around the Grand Forks college event centers.

Stanley is survived by his sister, Sandra Ekstrand of Tacoma, Washington and his many dear friends in Devils Lake and Grand Forks.
