Marc Jerome Melberg
Marc Jerome Melberg, 68, succumbed to cancer at his home surrounded by his family on March 13, 2013. Marc is survived by his wife, Gayle; daughter, Kari; son, Jason; sister, Diane; and granddaughter, Savannah. He was preceded in death by his mother Virginia, father Jay, and son Eric. Marc was a loving husband and father who took great passion from spending time with family and friends. In his free time he enjoyed golf, model train building, and finding the one thing that you wanted more than anything. He loved to be able to come through when he was really needed and save the day. A fan of history with trips to most of the battle fields of the civil war, he was very much at home in the rich past of the Richmond area. A special thank you to the Bon Secours Hospice for everything they have done. Services will be held at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, Va. at 11am Tuesday, March 19, 2013. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, 23060.
