Mary A. Grundahl

Mary A. Grundahl was born in rural Mallory, MN on December 29, 1922, and celebrated over 90 years of life. Her parents were Joseph and Lillian (Zhorela) Barzcak. Mary was married to Delbert Grundahl on June 16th, 1948 in East Grand Forks, MN. They established their home and together they raised a family there. Mary loved gardening, and always planted large gardens filled with vegetables, fruits and flowers. Good home (from scratch) cooking was always prepared, as was another specialty of hers. Her fresh (from scratch) baked goods, which was always available for family and friends alike, especially over a cup of coffee.

She is survived by her daughter Linda (David) Mozinski; daughter-in-law Leeann Grundahl; both of Grand Forks, ND, grandchildren Christine (Dan) Litzinger, Jennifer (Dean) Kuhns, Jason and Eric Grundahl; and 4 great grandchildren, Bradley, Dillan, Joshua, and James. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Delbert, and her son David. The family would like to thank the staff of Valley Eldercare and the Hospice Unit for their kind compassion and care on mom’s final days.

Memorial Service: 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, East Grand Forks, MN.

Visitation: 1 hour before services at the church.

Inurnment: Spring of 2013 at the Resurrection Cemetery, East Grand Forks.
