Valentine Mary Pelletier, 91, of Pembina, ND passed away on Feb 20, 2013 at home with family in Fargo, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church, Pembina, ND. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service & rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Burial at Joliette Cemetery, Joliette, ND.Valentine was born on August 14, 1921 in Joliette, ND to Gaston & Helen (Depreitere) Corneillie. On August 23, 1941, she married Henry “Hank” Pelletier. They lived on a farm by Joliette, ND. They had eleven children. Hank passed away on September 28, 1986. Valentine lived in Pembina for the past 26 years. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, Pembina, ND. She will be remembered for her baking of buns for church & community events and especially her caramel rolls. She also made quilts, blankets and rugs.

Survivors include her children,: Henry (Arlene) Pelletier, Coloma, MI, Harold (Grace) Pelletier, Cavalier, ND, Donald (JoAnn) Pelletier, Pierre, SD, Daniel (Betty) Pelletier, Pembina, ND, Donna (George) Christenson, Pembina, ND, Geraldine Pelletier, Grand Forks, ND, Marie (Bryan) Gahlon, Princeton, MN, Julie Pelletier, Grafton, ND, Lawrence (Sherri) Pelletier, Grand Forks, ND; 27 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Also preceding her in death were two children: Helen & Patrick, two grandsons: Joey & Jerry Pelletier, her parents, five brothers and four sisters.
Memorials preferred to Red River Valley Hospice or Joliette Cemetery.
