Leona C. Sorlien, 64, of Moorhead, MN, died Tuesday, February 12, 2013, in her home.

Leona Hokstad was born February 21, 1948, in Mott, ND, the daughter of Max and Lena (Renskers) Hokstad. She was raised on a farm near Mott and moved with her family to Hettinger, ND, in 1958, where she graduated from high school in 1966. She then moved to Fargo, ND, where she graduated from Dakota Business College and then worked in the office at Acme Electric in Fargo.

Leona C. Sorlien, 64, of Moorhead, MN, died Tuesday, February 12, 2013, in her home.

Leona Hokstad was born February 21, 1948, in Mott, ND, the daughter of Max and Lena (Renskers) Hokstad. She was raised on a farm near Mott and moved with her family to Hettinger, ND, in 1958, where she graduated from high school in 1966. She then moved to Fargo, ND, where she graduated from Dakota Business College and then worked in the office at Acme Electric in Fargo.

On August 1, 1970, she was united in marriage to Harlan Sorlien in Hettinger. They made their home in Dilworth where she provided daycare in her home for many years. Most recently she worked at Loopy's Dollar Store in Moorhead.

She is survived by her husband, Harlan; children, Karrie (Theo Baspaly) Heinze, Londa (Stu) Bellows, Myron (Denise) Sorlien, and Wanda (Matt) Mikkelson; grandchildren, Eugene, James, A.J., Carol, Nicholas, Jessie, Miai, Kayla, Cade and Tyler; brother, Robert (Sharon) Hokstad; and sister, Maxine (Dennis) Markley.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation: Friday, 5 PM to 7 PM with a Prayer Service at 7 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Funeral Service: Saturday, February 16, 2013, at 2:00 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Interment: North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND
