Marian Sobolik,93, died Tuesday, February 5, 2013 in Clear Lake Regional Hospital, Webster, Texas.Marian Sobolik was born on September 4, 1919 in Forest River, ND. She was the daughter of James and Anna Poole Henry. She earned her teacher's degree from Mayville State Teacher's College and taught for 3 years in a one room school house. She married Fritz Sobolik on Jan. 26, 1944. They farmed together until Fritz passed away in March, 1981. Following her husband’s death, she moved to Grand Forks where she lived until 2009. She then lived with family in Seabrook, Tx.

Marian is survived by her children: Frank (Jan), Marianne (John), Jim, Marj, Richard and John. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 22 great grand children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fritz and her son, Don.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in St. Mark's Cemetery, Conway, North Dakota in the Spring. Online guest registration is available at www.amundsonfuneralhome.com
