Theresa Catherine Olson of Grand Forks, ND passed away on January 26, 2013 at Valley Eldercare in Grand Forks, ND, at the age of 94.Theresa was born to parents Dougal and Sarah McKinnon, in Starkweather, ND on February 9, 1918. Theresa went to school in Devils Lake, then moving to Grand Forks and graduated from Acker’s Business College.

Theresa Catherine Olson of Grand Forks, ND passed away on January 26, 2013 at Valley Eldercare in Grand Forks, ND, at the age of 94.
Theresa was born to parents Dougal and Sarah McKinnon, in Starkweather, ND on February 9, 1918. Theresa went to school in Devils Lake, then moving to Grand Forks and graduated from Acker’s Business College.
She married Ben Schue, who passed away in 1960. She raised their four children by working for Old Dutch Potato Co and Hugo’s grocery store in the meat department and retired in 1974. In 1978 Theresa married Gordon E Olson, at Holy Family Church in Grand Forks, who passed away in 1992. Her family, home, church and “CAT” were so very important to her. Her talent for decorating and working with flowers gave her a lot of pride with awards for “Yard of the Week”. Theresa supported many charities; her heart went to ASPCA (Humane Society) for the love of animals.
She is survived by a son, Douglas (Beatrice) Schue, Appleton, WI., daughter Bonnie (Allan) Nipstad, Grand Forks, ND. Five granddaughters: Stacy Kost (Indiana), Melissa Anderson (Hillsboro, ND), Jill (Bret) Cuthbert (Galloway, Ohio), Lisa (Rob) Parrott (Saginaw, MN), Sara (Scott)Greenwold (Scottsdale, Az.) and ten Great Grandchildren. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gordon, one sister, Sister Anthony Marie, two sons, James B Schue and Robert G Schue.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00 PM Monday, January 28, 2013 at Holy Family Church in Grand Forks, ND. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.Arrangments are with Amundson Funeral Home, Grand Forks.www.amundsonfuneralhome.com
