Mildred F. Foote- Dargus, 98, of Grand Forks, ND passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013 in Valley Eldercare Center in Grand Forks.Mildred Frances Moberg was born August 23, 1914 the daughter of Oscar and Augusta (Swenson) Moberg on the family farm near Reinhart Drive in East Grand Forks, MN. She was raised in East Grand Forks and graduated from East Grand Forks High School. Mildred married Delbert Foote on May 31, 1936 in Augustana Lutheran Church in Grand Forks. Following their marriage, they lived in East Grand Forks until moving to Grand Forks in 1944. Mildred was employed with Buttrey’s Clothing, Bray’s Clothing and Mary Elizabeth Clothing. Delbert preceded her in death on September 30, 1974. Mildred married Lawrence Dargus on November 19, 1977 in Augustana Lutheran Church. Lawrence preceded her in death on September 5, 2009. She was a life member of Augustana Lutheran Church, and was the oldest living baptized member of the congregation. Also, she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She enjoyed socializing with family and friends and reminiscing about her Swedish heritage.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Foote, Grand Forks, ND; her daughter, Susan (Steve) Sande, Scottsdale, AZ; a step-son, Robert (Cheryl) Dargus, Maricopa, AZ; grandsons, Mike (Kim) Sande, Grand Forks, ND and Brian (Kathy)Sande, Orangevale, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Gladys (Earle) Wood and Lillian (Adolph) Erickson.
The family requests that memorials be given to either Augustana Lutheran Church or Altru Hospice.
Private Family Memorial Service: Will be held at a later date.
Interment: Memorial Park Cemetery North, Grand Forks, ND.
