Roman V. Dube, age 87 of Pisek, ND passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Center of Park River, ND.Roman V. Dube was born August 10, 1925 in Medford Township of Walsh County, ND the son of the late Frank and Anna (Zikmund) Dub. He grew up and attended rural school near Pisek. Following his education he worked for area farmers in the Park River, Pisek and Mekinok area. Roman was united in marriage to Maxine Studney on October 14, 1946 in Pisek. In 1954 the couple started farming in Medford Township. Maxine passed away on Aug. 14, 1986. Roman continued to live on the family farm until 2010 when he moved in with his daughter Deborah Lee. He lived there until September 10, 2012 when he moved to the Good Samaritan Center in Park River.

Roman was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Pisek. He served as a 4-H leader, was a member of the Park River Saddle Club, the local Square Dancing group and the Czech Singers.
He is survived by his children: Faye (LeRoy) Ramsey, Park River, ND; Deborah (Steve) Lee, Pisek, ND; Delores (Gary) Robinson, Hensel, ND; Pamela (James) Mattern, Reno, NV; Duane (Jodi) Dube, West Fargo, ND; ten grandchildren: Anna & Megan Ramsey, Kayla & Melissa Lee, Joshua (Samantha) Lee, Amy (Kevin) Beaudoin, Naomi (Charles) Magnell, Sadie Robinson, Davis and Danielle Dube, two great grandchildren: Jayden Lee and Olivia Beaudoin. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, siblings: Louis, Albin, Frank, Olga, Stanley and Marie and his special friend Caroline Karas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Pisek, ND. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River. Friends may also call at the church on Saturday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.
