Larry A. Overgaard, 66, East Grand Forks, died Friday, Jan 18th at Altru Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.Larry was born on Aug. 13, 1946 in Crookston, MN, son of Albert and Belva (Berg) Overgaard. Larry attended Central High School in Crookston, graduating in 1964. He joined the US Navy in 1967, serving on the USS Wainwright during the Vietnam war. He was married on May 16, 1970 to Elizabeth Hegge in Crookston. He worked for the US Government for 27 years.

Larry was born on Aug. 13, 1946 in Crookston, MN, son of Albert and Belva (Berg) Overgaard. Larry attended Central High School in Crookston, graduating in 1964. Survivors include his wife: Elizabeth; son: Matthew (Stephanie); three grandchildren: Isabella, Braxton & Emma; siblings: Earl (Faye), Marlys (Vern) Demarais; and stepmother: Mildred. He was preceded in death by his parents: Albert & Belva; and a sister: Dianne Engelstad.
The funeral service for Larry Overgaard will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Crookston, with the Rev. Rolf Preus, officiating. Visitation will be at the Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home in Crookston on Tuesday from 5-7 PM, with a 7 PM prayer service, and also at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Eldred Cemetery, Eldred.

Curt Tanabe Grand Forks, ND I will always remember Larry and Betty during Tuesday night dinner runs with our motorcycles in the summer. Had many enjoyable times and will miss his friendship.
