Raymond Timothy John Rapacz, Argyle, passed away on Jan. 12, 2013 at the Good Sam in Warren , at the age of 92.

Raymond was born on Aug. 11, 1920 to John and Mamie (Yutrzenka) Rapacz on the family farm, in Alma township, rural Argyle. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. Raymond married Leona Jenn on Sept. 29, 1949. Raymond farmed sugar beets, potatoes and grains in Tamarac and Alma Townships from 1952 until his retirement in 1982. He remained active on the farm into his late 70‘s.

Ray was a lifelong member of St. Rose of Lima Church, proud member of the Argyle American Legion and was active in the Argyle Historical Society, Knights of Columbus, 4-H, Lions Club, local School Boards, Argyle Co-Op Elevator Board and was President of the RRV Potato Growers Association.

Raymond is survived by Leona, his loving wife of 63 years, children Jennifer (Mike) Wichmann, Argyle, Mick (Leesa) Rapacz, Argyle, William (Sarah) Rapacz, Marlboro, NJ, Beverly (Jan) Noles, Grand Rapids, MN, and Julie (Paul) Yutrzenka, Argyle. He is also survived by grandchildren Shawn (Tina) Anderson and sons Hunter and Trevor, Dana (Lance) Woinarowicz and children Raydon and Ayla, Paul (Danette) Wichmann and daughter Julia, Marie McCann and son James, Kylee Matthew, Rebecca (Andrew) Nadler and sons Isaac and Elijah, Derek Noles, Jordan (Miriah) Noles and daughters Khloe and Elli, Ruth and Jenna Noles, and Lucas, Joanna, and Nicholas Yutrzenka. He is also survived by his sisters Agnes Rominski of Warren and Marie Kwolek of Peoria, IL. and many nieces and nephews.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, beloved son Gary Raymond in 1977, and sister Irene Chyba.

Raymond was a strong, kind and generous man his whole life and we were so proud and lucky to have him in our lives. We will miss him greatly, until we meet again. Blessed be his memory.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 10:30 AM on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Argyle, MN.

VISTATION: After 5:30 PM with a 6:30 PM Rosary and 6:45 PM Prayer Service on Tuesday at the church.

INTERMENT: St. Rose Catholic Cemetery, Argyle, MN

Ray was one of the kindest person’s I have ever had the privilege of knowing in my life and will always be remembered. I am so sorry to hear of his passing, but he is in Heaven now getting his wings and will be watching over his family. God Bless you all, Melany Monk Ludtke
