FARGO, N.D. - Harold Kertz, 86, Alvarado, Minn., died Thursday in Sanford Medical Center.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Langdon, N.D.
Arrangements by Brooks Funeral Home in Langdon.

Several years ago Harold told me the story about when he purchased their family cabin on Coney Island, well over 50 years ago now. Some 15 years ago Bob Kertz, John Kertz and I were up for a weekend in August fishing at Minaki, while staying at the Bob Kertz family cabin, next to Harold's cabin. I will always remember that Saturday afternoon, Bob blended up margaritas for us. Later we watched Harold and Marlyn leaving their dock in a small boat heading for Kenora, Bob commented, they're heading in for church.
