James L. Laughlin

James L. Laughlin, 79, of Ord died December 29, 2012.

A Memorial Mass was held on December 31, 2012 in Ord. Inurnment was in the Ord Catholic Cemetery with military honors. Memorials are suggested to St. Mary's School or the Donor's Choice. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

James L. Laughlin, 79, of Ord died December 29, 2012.

James Larry Laughlin was born November 8, 1933, at Grand Forks, North Dakota where he was raised and received his education.

Jim served in the United States Navy. Jim's career took him all over the U.S. but he spent most of his years building hydroelectric plants and dams on the Missouri River from South Dakota to Missouri. The family settled in Ord in 1982.

Survivors include his wife, Marcella of Ord; eight children, Michael, Jacqueline, Delores, James, Jeannette, Jerald, Charlene, and Jennifer; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jerry.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Thomas & Elsie; a sister, Jeannine, and a brother, Joseph.
