Katherine M. Tollefson, age 63, of Glyndon, MN, passed away on December 29, 2012, in Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND, with her family by her side.Katherine Mae Theroux was born on March 6, 1949, in Crookston, MN. She grew up and attended country school near Red Lake Falls. She married Theodore Tollefson in Red Lake Falls, on August 12, 1967. Together they lived in St. Paul until moving to Glyndon in 1977, where Katherine has resided since Ted’s death on August 9, 2011. After Ted’s death, Katherine resided in Red Lake Falls with her daughter, Stacie. Katherine thoroughly enjoyed gardening and bird watching, specifically hummingbirds. She also enjoyed playing cards, word search puzzles, and most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Blessed be the memory of Katherine Mae Tollefson.

She is survived by her son, Todd (Tracy) Tollefson of Glyndon, MN; daughters, Stacie (Troy) Schmitz of Red Lakes Falls, MN and Cindy (Keith) Byklum of Hawley, MN; grandchildren, Brittnei, Bo, Cody, Devon, Morgan, Brooke, Bailey, Hunter, Kegan, Riley and Jordyn; siblings, Bob (Lanette), John, Wayne (Diana), Carol, Shirley, Junior (Shelley), Danny and Tim as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and siblings, Russell, Raymond, Larry, Marlene and Rosie.
Memorial Gathering: Thursday, January 3, 2013, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.
Funeral: Friday, January 4, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., in Glyndon Lutheran Church, Glyndon, MN.
Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Glyndon, MN.
