Lois Budge, age 95 of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Valley Memorial Homes, Woodside Village in Grand Forks.
Lois Gertrude Budge was born on April 28, 1917 in Fordville, ND the daughter of Leonard and Elva (Rupert) Aafedt. Lois grew up and attended school in Fordville, ND graduating from Fordville High School with the Class of 1934. Following her graduation from high school she went on and attended Business School in Portland, OR. She worked for the Grafton, ND Courthouse from 1938 to 1942. In 1942 she moved to San Diego, CA. In August of 1942 she was united in marriage to John "Jack" Budge in San Diego, CA. She moved to Munich, ND in 1945 and then to Langdon, ND. In 1952 she moved to East Grand Forks, MN where she worked for Northwestern Mutual and Froehlich-Paulson-Moore Insurance Agents before retiring in 1977. Lois moved to Grand Forks in 2004.
Family members who survive Lois include here children, Judy (Pat) Lee of St. Paul, MN, Rick Budge of Grand Forks, ND and Tom (Sharon) Budge of East Grand Forks, MN; nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents; husband Jack Budge; 2 sisters, Evy LaMont, Helen Rupp and one brother, Lloyd Aafedt.
In Lieu of flowers the family respectively requests that memorial be designated to Our Savior's Lutheran Radio Fund or Valley Memorial Homes.
Visitation: One hour before Funeral Services on Friday in Our Savior's Lutheran Church
Funeral Service: 1:00 PM on Friday, December 14, 2012 in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1515 5th Ave. NW, East Grand Forks, MN
Interment: Resurrection Cemetery ~ East Grand Forks, MN.
