Mary M. Votava (99) formerly of Grafton, ND passed away on December 8, 2012 at Valley Eldercare in Grand Forks, ND.
Mary Margaret Dvorak was born May 27, 1913 in Veseleyville, ND the daughter of Mary (Matejcek) and Adolph Dvorak. She was united in marriage to James E. Votava of Grafton on June 23, 1936 in Veseleyville. Mary and James operated a dairy farm in Grafton for many years. James died in 2003.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oakwood and St. John’s Catholic Church, Grafton, ND. Mary enjoyed gardening. She was known for her beautiful flowers.

Votava is survived by her children: Cyril (Mary Ann), Grand Forks, ND, Donald (Darlyne), Warren, MN, Richard (Marion), Kent, WA, Henry (Jan), New York City, NY, Mary Ann Ring, Rochester, MN, David (Helen), Fargo, ND and Loretta Votava (Gary Arth), Sabin, MN; daughter-in-law Patsy Votava, Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren; great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren and sister Dorothy (John) Kosobud, Lankin, ND.
She was preceded in death by a son James F. Votava; son-in-law: Bernard Ring; her brothers: Adolph, Albert, Hubert, Henry, Leonard Dvorak and sisters: Rose Beneda, Anna Praska, Marcella Kalash.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Grafton.
Visitation will be one hour before the Mass on Thursday.
Interment will be at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.
