Hilary I. Osowski, age 85 of Grafton, ND passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Unity Medical Center of Grafton.

Hilary I. Osowski, age 85 of Grafton, ND passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Unity Medical Center of Grafton.

Hilary I. Osowski was born July 29, 1927 in Minto, ND the son of the late Frank and Helen (Osowski) Osowski. He attended school in Minto and later attended Acton School near Grafton. Hilary was united in marriage to Jeanette Dolan on October 18, 1950 in Oakwood, ND. He served in the United States Army, serving in Korea. Following his discharge he returned home and farmed in Acton Township. Following his retirement he continued to help on the farm until turning 80.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Oakwood, ND; the Grafton Knights of Columbus, Grafton American Legion Post #41 and V.F.W. Post #9367. He served on the Walsh Water Users Board.

Hilary is survived by his wife Jeanette of Grand Forks, ND; sons: Alan (Gail), David (Larae), Mark (Carol), Lee (Lori), Tim (Kerri) and Jon Osowski all of Grafton, ND; 10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; his twin brother Hiladore (Pauline) Osowski, Grafton, ND; sisters: Dorothy Olson, Grafton, ND; Florence French, Grafton, ND; Lillian Verstrate and Mary Ann (Dwain) Schrank, Martha Roberts, all of Yakima, WA; brother Leo (MaryAnn) Osowski, Moorhead, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ambrose.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Oakwood, ND.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Wednesday for one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be at the church cemetery.

Military rites will be provided by the Grafton American Legion Post #41 and the North Dakota National Guard Honor Guard.
