Deanna R. Trottier-Hjelseth, 52 of Fargo, formerly of Grand Forks, ND died Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Essentia Health, Fargo.
Deanna Rose, daughter of Wayne and Adeline (McDonald) Trottier Sr., was born on November 13, 1960, Devils Lake, ND. She was reared in Fort Totten and Belcourt, ND. She attended elementary school at St. Ann’s School in Belcourt, then her junior high and high school education was at Devils Lake Public School. Deanna graduated from Devils Lake Central High School with the class of 1979. She furthered her education at Lake Region Junior College, Valley City State Teacher’s College, UND and NDSU. Deanna was at one time married to Raymond Ringette.
She worked as a care giver for group homes in Fort Totten and Devils Lake and also with REM. Deanna was united in marriage to Michael Hjelseth in 1998. They established their home in Grand Forks through the years. They had just recently moved to Fargo due to Deanna’s ongoing medical problems and to be closer to her family.
Survivors include her husband, Michael, son, Shawn Trottier both of Fargo; step-son, Eric Hjelseth, Grand Forks; a grandchild; father, Wayne Trottier Sr., St. Michael; brothers and sister, Wayne (Paola) Trottier Jr. and David Trottier both of Rugby, Denice (Barry) Gage, Devils Lake and Darren (Wanda) Trottier, St. Michael;
Visitation Sunday, December 9th at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, St. Michael, ND beginning at 4:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Scripture Service at 8:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection Monday, December 10, 2012 also at St. Michael’s Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m.
