Gerald “Jerry” Surprenant, age 46 of East Grand Forks, MN passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

Gerald “Jerry” Wayne Surprenant was born on June 22, 1966 in Grand Forks, ND, the son of Roy and Patricia (Paschke) Surprenant. Jerry grew up in East Grand Forks and graduated from East Grand Forks Central High School with the Class of 1984. Following his graduation from high school he went on and attended Aker’s Business College. He then moved to Texas where he worked in Food Service. In 1993 he moved back to East Grand Forks where he worked at the Speedway and Perkins Restaurants in Grand Forks. Jerry also worked for American Crystal Sugar Company in East Grand Forks until the time of his death.

Family members of Jerry include his parents, Roy and Patricia of East Grand Forks, MN; siblings, Tim (Deborah) Surprenant of Waco, TX, Tony Surprenant of National City, CA, Daniel (Jan) Surprenant of Grand Prairie, TX, Susan Surprenant of Hettinger, ND, Roger Surprenant of Mesa, AZ, Richard “Chopper” Surprenant of Reeder, ND and Denise (Alan) Pruett of Pawnee, IL.

Visitation: 6:00 to 7:00 PM on Sunday, December 9, 2012 in Dahl Funeral Home of East Grand Forks, MN.

Memorial Service: 7:00 PM on Sunday, December 9, 2012 in Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Ave. NW, East Grand Forks, MN.

Interment: University of North Dakota Deed Body Program.
