Helen Anna Pletka passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Valley Eldercare in Grand Forks, ND.
Helen Anna Pletka was born March 9, 1937, on a farm near Grafton, ND to Joseph and Anna (Hemr) Pletka. She attended elementary school at District #101 and High School in Grafton. In 1960, she attended Aakers Business College in Grand Forks, ND.
She worked for KRAD Radio Station as a copywriter; she was Secretary to East Grand Forks Superintendent of Schools, secretary at Volkswagen dealer in Grand Forks, Secretary at Walhalla Transfer Co. From July of 1964 to July of 1994 she was a secretary to various Squadron Commanders at the Grand Forks Air Force Base and retired after 30 years.
She is survived by her brother Jerry Pletka of Grafton; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding her in death are her parents and her sister Mary Hoefs.
Visitation: One hour prior to services, Monday, December 3, 2012.
Funeral services: 10:30 AM Monday, December 3, 2012 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Grand Forks, ND.
Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
