Clarence Trenda

Clarence Trenda, age 86 of Park River, ND and formerly of Adams, ND passed away on Monday, November 26, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Center of Park River.

Clarence Trenda was born May 22, 1926 in Latona Township of Walsh County, the son of the late Adolph and Rosalie (Sticha) Trenda. He attended rural schools in Latona Township. Following his education he farmed with his parents. Clarence was united in marriage to Viola Jallo on June 6, 1947 at Quale Lutheran Church, rural Fordville, ND. The couple lived and farmed in Latona Township until 1994. They moved into Park River in 2003 and Viola passed away on June 2, 2005.

Clarence was a member of the former Trinity Lutheran Church of Lankin. He served on the Lankin School Board for several years. He was a member of the W.F.L.A. Kosobud Lodge near Lankin. Clarence had a great love of music and played drums in several bands in Northeast North Dakota.

He is survived by his son Greg (Gail) Trenda, Adams, ND; two grandchildren: Jerod (Monica) Trenda, Moorhead, MN and Tina Trenda, Park River, ND; a great grandson Cole Trenda, Moorhead, MN; brothers-in-law: Earl Trenda, Richfield, WA and Sanford (Mavis) Jallo, Phoenix, AZ. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and sisters: Mildred Pic and Geneva Matejcek.

Funeral services will be Monday, December 3, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River.

Visitation will be Sunday from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River. Friends may also call at the funeral home on Monday for one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be at Kosobud Cemetery, rural Lankin, ND.
