Jacqueline J. Sparks, 79 of Mentor, MN and formerly of Grand Forks, ND passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 in Cornerstone Hospital in Tucson, AZ.

Jacqueline J. Sparks, 79 of Mentor, MN and formerly of Grand Forks, ND passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 in Cornerstone Hospital in Tucson, AZ.

Jacqueline Jean Sundeen was born October 7, 1933 in Brocket, ND the daughter of Victor J. and Irene M. (Lovejoy) Sundeen. She moved to Lakota, ND in 1959 and in 1963 moved to Grand Forks, ND. She was employed with Hugo’s Grocery in Grand Forks and later with American Crystal Sugar. Jacqueline married Richard Allen Sparks on March 13, 1965 in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in East Grand Forks, MN. Richard preceded her in death in April, 2004.

She is survived by her children, James (Eline) Kirchoffner, Terrance (Beverly) Kirchoffner, all of Tucson, AZ, Victoria (Danny) Machovsky, Mentor, MN; a brother, Bernard (Ceil) Sundeen, Cleveland, ND; sisters, Judith (Pat) Gamache, Mentor, MN, June Sundeen, Tucson, AZ; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her parents; a brother, Norman Sundeen; sisters, Norma Loken, Lou Wanna Whitney and Irene Suzanne Victoria “Tootsie” Sundeen.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 30, 2012 in the Historic Norman Funeral Home-Gregory J. Norman Funeral Chapel, 2950 South Washington Street.

Visitation: One hour prior to the funeral service in the funeral chapel on Friday.

Burial: Memorial Park Cemetery South, Grand Forks, ND.

Vicki, I am so sorry to hear of your mom passing away. I don't know if you remember me, Donna Robinson Larson. We went to school in Lakota together. I remember you stayed at our farm near Brocket when we were young. You have my sympathy, Donna
