Roger Anderson, age 76, of Larimore, ND, passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

Roger Lee Anderson was born August 10, 1936 in Iowa, the son of Merlin and Beatrice (O’Connor) Anderson. He was raised and grew to manhood in Raymond, MN and attended and graduated from Willmar, MN High School. Roger married Jean Martin in 1957 in Glenwood, MN.

Roger was inducted into the United States Air Force and served for 23 years. The couple moved to Larimore in 1973, where Roger was stationed at the Grand Forks Air Force Base. He retired in June, 1976.

Surviving members of his family include his wife: Jean; sons: Vincent Anderson, Fargo, ND; Donald (Jan) Anderson, Thief River Falls, MN; Philip (Gayle) Anderson, Clarksville, TN; daughter: Susan Blondeau, Fergus Falls, MN; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister: Mary McCuley, Orlando, FL; and a brother: Jon “Giggs” Anderson, Olivia, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son: Martin and a sister: Janet Hovey.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 2 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2012 in St. Stephen’s Catholic Church of Larimore

A FAMILY GREETING will be held for one hour prior to the service.

MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers memorials may be designated to the Larimore Senior Center, the Larimore Food Pantry or the Larimore Ambulance Service.
