Raland Sieg, 78, of Emerado, ND passed away Friday, November 9, 2012 at the Northwood Deaconess Health Center in Northwood, ND.
Raland was born November 11, 1933 in Northwood, ND to Rienhold and Ethel (Lenz) Sieg. He attended Oakville 41 for grade school and following school, he began to farm. On February 11, 1955, Raland married Darlyne Griese at the Pleasantview Church near Emerado, ND. Raland was a good mechanic, carpenter and loved to garden, plant trees and take care of his lawn. He also drove school bus for the Emerado School. Raland really enjoyed spending time with his family.
Raland is survived by his wife Darlyne, Emerado, ND; son Jeff (Joy) Sieg, Emerado, ND; brother Norman (Ruby) Sieg, Grand Forks, ND; nephew Larry Sieg, Moses Lake, WA, and niece Peggy Sieg, Grand Forks, ND.
Preceding him in death were his parents and special Aunt Eva.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 10:30 am at Ascension Lutheran Church in Emerado, ND.

Darlyne and Jeff....So sorry to hear of your loss! I can recall the many times he came out to watch the band and how supportive he was, even letting us use his truck to haul equipment. I can picture a smile on his face; he was so nice. Keep the memories alive! My prayers are with you and the rest of the family.
